i’m due to see the dermatolgist in fourteen days but i only have enough tablets for ten…i will have been on them for nine weeks when i run out for a short time. is this something to worry about?

i’m dreading my skin reacting to not having the roaccutane and maybe it not being as effective when i go back on it. anyone got any thoughts?

Hi Anna,

I somehow “lost” some of my tablets last month and I was panicking thinking that my skin would take a bad reaction too. Then when I went to my Derm last week she said it wont have any sort of impact at all - she says you can go up to about a week and all will be fine. I think this stuff stays in ure system for ages anyways.

Hi Anna,
I have the same panic every month because my appointments always seem to fall after i run out of tablets! but really it makes no difference. i take 2 tablets a day so if i only have a few left to last me quite a few days then i cut down to taking one a day, but this prob isnt necessary, its just me worrying that i will have a massive breakout! x

ah, that’s a relief! i was living in fear of them popping back to say hello!!

cheers guys, you’ve put my mind at rest. i’ll probably divide the tablets i have left to a half a day (i’m on 20mg) so at least there’s something still in my system.
and ask my dermo to give me a few days extra next time if she can.

thanks again for replying, i appreciate it
good luck with your courses!
