My skin is a little better this week. The remnants of the breakout can be disguised relatively easily with makeup and I only have two new spots (on jawline - can hide with hair!). I’m just so tired though and still need at least 10 hours per night to feel human. The other night I only had 6 hours sleep which seemed to turn me into a bit of a psycho. Feeling utterly exhausted, I snapped at my daughter in a shop over something really minor, then promptly stormed out with all the shop assistants staring after me with horrified looks on their faces.

Does anyone else feel like death when sleep-deprived on tane? As a chronic insomniac it surprises me that I’m experiencing these effects so strongly. I’m only on 30mg - is this normal?

Note to self: go to bed right now

reading your post, you could be me saying that. so if the sleep thing isn’t normal, we’re both freaks! i’ve gone from chronic insomnia to hibernating bear. and god help whoever wakes me…

Hey Nancy,

I start week 9 on Monday, and i’m reeeally feeling the tiredness. I’m trying to get 8-10 hours per night, or else I am EVIL the next day! lol. It’s been like this for 3 weeks, and is getting worse. It’s like my whole personality has changed, I feel irritated by the smallest things, and am snapping at my friends and colleagues! I’m hoping it’s temporary.. or I don’t think i’ll have many friends left by November lol.

So you’re not alone.. I’ve purchased some St John’s Wort today, will give me a bit of a pick-up hopefully.

Thanks for the support guys. I’ve decided to stop analysing my tiredness and consequent moods and just be thankful that I’ve been given this opportunity to clear up my skin. The psychological damage caused by acne can be immense and I feel so much more confident in myself now than I did only a couple of months ago. Hope you’re all feeling chirpy and that the St John’s wort works for you, Andy.

Take care xx
