Hi all

End of week 7, wish it was end of week 16! I’m not 50 but its the 50th day I’ve been taking the tane now, in fact in a few days I’ll be 1/4 of a century and oh my that makes me feel old, old and spotty! lol :)

So have things improved from my torred week last week?? Marginally I suppose, mood is better but spots everywhere they just dont seem to stop coming, overall my face is less red and certainly smoother in places (forehead, temples, chin & nose) but my cheeks are just a basking ground for new pimples! I will admit that they are now confined to the lower part of my cheek they are still hanging around. I have the odd one or two on my chin including one that came up quite aggressively and it still here now - it dried out one layer then another and another and is now finally revealed as a fully blown spot.

Have not started to get eczema patches all over mainly on arms and I picked up this free sample of cream @ Boots the other day has Omegas in it apparently and it seems to be doing the job for now.

My worst problem this week has been my lips, last friday I noticed all this horrible little bumps all over them, over the weekend I tried to research what it could be and thought that keeping it covered would be good. The final straw came on Monday when I tried to drink some tea and my whole bottom lip top layer came off - very sore. Rang my derm’s straight away and s/w nurse who said that it sounded as if my lips were aggrevated by the products I was using. She told me to use 1% hydrocortisone very thinly but only for a few days and let my lips dry out. After this just use something plain like vaseline.  Well I did as she said and my lips are really quite sore :(.

The skin is peeling off and they are quite tender and in all honesty I dont think any lip balms out there are any good (nipple cream doesnt work for me either) as they all contain chemicals even vaseline isnt natural so I would like to try and find something that is moisturising but good for them but in the meantime I will stick with vaseline. I’m going for my repeats on Monday so will mention again then but until then I’ll continue to eat and drink through a straw!

I have just bought some Manuka Honey as it has good healing properties but it is not cheap one pot was £9.99 but luckily Sainsbury’s had a version for only £5.99 although for honey that is pretty expensive. New Zealanders go wild about this honey’s healing properties so i will see if eating that does any good.

I’ve uploaded some pics of me in my horrid state @ week 7, if I look tired its bcoz I am - 2nd trip to London this week and I’m shattered.

Hope everyone is ok otherwise and thank you for reading my rant! Roll on another 50 days.

Take Care

A. x

p.s  - I’m still getting the flushing too - highly annoying!
