Posted in Roaccutane, Roaccutane Diaries

Hey all,

Just been reading bout all the diaries too see how everyone else was doing so i could check if how my progress was similar to others! I’m currently on week 3 and i’m not sure what to think really! Before i started my back and shoulders were pretty normal, barely anything, but now thats all gone, only the smallest little red mark if that, so thats good.

As for face, well it’s a bit different. I had a weird year, because for almost the whole year i was worried about my skin and thought for the first few terms it was bad…it was only in the last term i decided to do something about it, and i went on roaccutane. My skin is fairly dry at the moment, not obvious, but noticeable, however the breakouts are a little annoying, but i’ve had a lot worse before, so it seems to be doing the job! The weird thing is, now looking back at photos from first two terms, i don’t even know why i worried cos it’s not bad in the slighest, just the last term took a huge impact! As for lips, well they literaly went dry over one night, i think on week 2, i woke up and they were pretty dry, luckily i had brought all the products i thought i’d need in advance, so not a huge worry there! As for my lips now, i’ve got it pretty much under control, somedays it might get a little sore, somedays it’s fine, just gotta go with it.

Other points, like sleep and itching are a bit odd! I’m not sure whether it’s my bed or heat, whatnot, but it’s hard to sleep at the moment, it’s 2am at the moment and usually im long gone, but i may still be in the habit of going to bed late from uni nights out :) now and again i get a very itchy back, which is annoying, but only lasts for like 20minutes.

At the moment i’m usuing Aqueous(spelling) cream before i go to bed, it’s really good! non greasy moisturising like cream which also cleanses, can also be used as a shower wash. Great for dry skin, and does make some immflamation go down. I also put a small dab of sudocreme on the slightly larger spots to soothe over night, i know some people find it doesn’t work, but personally i find it does the job quite nicely, and anything that gives a bit of moisturising each night can’t hurt!

Hopefully it should be slightly better before i go on holiday in a months time! as i really just wanna enjoy myself, but it should be gone before my 2nd year at uni, and i can’t wait to go back looking brand new! hehe.

Hope it helped, and roll on week 4!

Ohhh and no hints of bad emotions, or depression in case anyones wondering! I’m feeling as normal as ever! i just try to think of the future and keep sticking with it!
