Hey everyone,

Sorry not been posting for a while - it sounds silly but i went through a faze of whenever I would write a diary post saying things had improved…..they would take a turn for the worse! Obviously this is just coincidence but didn’t like to tempt fate!!! Anyway, skin is fab at the moment (touch wood I dont erupt tomorrow!) I can def say for all of you out there struggling, that I had to get to 12 weeks before I saw a real change - so hang on in there. I’ve got to go to 19 weeks so 1 month to go!!

Side effects still dry lips, scabby ears!!! Itchy ++++ arms that drive me crackers and dry eyes. All inconvenient but bearable.

Now I have a couple of questions for those of you who have had families - I freaked out the other day as found this web site where people were talking about a link between isotretinoin and infertility - not research studies but their own personal experience!! Honestly its frightened me so much and I jut wanted some reassurance that there are people here who have taken roac and subsequently got pregnant. I know there are no research studies suggesting a link but the thought is stressing me out big time as when I finish my treatment my hubby and I will be thinking about starting a family.

That leads me on to my second question - I know they tell you to wait a month before falling pregnant and that apparently most of the drug is out of your system in 10 days but has anyone started trying fairly soon after the 5 weeks post treatment? I would be really grateful for any advice on either of these topics.

Thanks guys and really hope everyone doing ok.

Lots of love Katie xx

I would probably wait longer than just a month, but thats just my opinion on the situation. At a minimum I would give it 6 months just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, i agree. My doctor said at least 6 months just to make sure all of the medication can leave your system.
