Hi everyone!

Sorry its bin so long since i sent a post but i was without pc for a while then i forgot my password! Anyway im back now!

I’m coming to the end of week 11 now and its been a bit of a rollercoaster over the last few weeks really.

My skins been good some of the time and then just when i think the worst is over BAM! a massive cyst starts to erupt! At the beginning of treatment they seemed to dissappear fairly quickly but the proccess seems to be taking much longer again now which is disappointing. I’m trying not to get too down about it tho and stay positive!

I was wondering whether the treatment was working better when i was taking the tablets in two doses instead of one (over the last month i have been taking my roaccutane in ONE dose whereas previously i had been taking it in two doses). Mabye its just coincidence but my skin definately seems to have got worse recently! I’d be interested to know if anyone else has found this.

As for side effects the worst by far is the dry lips! I’ve tried everything but nothing really makes them feel normal (well not for more than 20 minutes anyway!)

As well as the dry lips. My skin (especially on my arms) has become so itchy over the last week or two. I wake up in the night scratching my arms and now ive got really nice scabs in my elbow creases!

My eyes arent too bad most of the time . I just seem to get the odd day when they’re a bit sore .

All in all tho i AM glad im on the treatment and there is a definate improvement overall!

I still havent seen a dermatologist since b4 my treatment started! I was supposed to see her after two months (although it seems that most see there derm monthly) but my appointment was postponed so now it will be at the end of week 12!

Anyway bye for now! Ill keep u updated and keep reading all ur posts 4 inspiration.

Lots of luv Elliexxx

Hey Ellie
I was wondering the same thing and ask my derm whether it makes a difference. He seems to think that it really doesn’t matter.
Also it seems that it is now taking longer for new pimples to go away than at the start of my course.

Hi,
I hear both of you. Weeks 3 and 4 were definitely the best weeks. Now spots take ages to die (this is excluding the time it takes for the mark to fade) and just when I think one is on the way out it erupts again :o(
I don’t trust myself to take the tablets twice a day. When/if I get another derm appt I’ll ask too :o)
