Well, this week has been a bit of a palava to say the least! Had a bit of a drama getting my bloods sorted too haha. My derm told me at my last appointment that I would need to have another blood test to check everything was okay, so on Tuesday night I came how to have my bloods taken on the wednesday monring.

Of course, silly me forgot to fast didn’t I!!! I got to the clinic and the guy was like have you fasted, and I was like damn….because I’d had a cup of tea. So he took the blood anyway and said he’d write a little note on my form saying I hadn’t fasted properly. So, when I got home I spoke to my uncle about it who is a Doctor, and he told me the blood test would be basically void because I hadn’t fasted!!!

I then had a bit of a problem trying to get a blood form from my GP, who had to rign my derm’s secretary to find out what my blood needed to be checked for so she could write it on the form….

So, I go the next day for ANOTHER blood test…

It was the same guy who had done the test the previous day, and as he started inserting the needle he must have hit a nerve ending by mistake because I had a sudden shock of pain that shot down my arm all the way to my hand, which then went like pins and needles,  and half my hand  just went dead! I screamed out in shock as I hadn’t a clue what had just happened, all I knew is that I was in pain, the tears were running down my face! The guy who had been injecting me also jumped back in horror as I’d yelled so loud and didn’t know what he’d done wrong!!! We both calmed down and then I described to him that it had felt like a pain bouncing down my arm followed by pins and needles, and he said because my arms are so skinny it makes it difficult to find a vein and that he must have hit a nerve by mistake :/

It was so horrible though and such a shock!! The man taking my blood also seemed very stunned too. Then, to top it all off he had to take blood from my other arm instead because he hadn’t gotten enough blood the first time. So, all in all, I’ve had my bloods taken 3 times in the space of 2 days and I’m starting to resemble a heroin addict!

Now, my skin. I really do feel this has been the turnaround week for me (or at least I hope so, don’t want to jinx it yet!) But in the past 10 days I’ve had about 4 big spots, which has really given the spots on my cheeks a chance to calm dow (it’s just scars there now and one spot). What’s motivating is that the skin in between my many spots/scars is silky smooth, so I can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end!

Hope everyones doing good x
