Week 10 and I’m starting to get desperate

My skin’s breaking out worse than ever, and they just aren’t healing if I touch them or not. They just scab over and look gross. And my eczema has seriously flared up. This is seriously not helping my nerves, I start my first job tonight and I’m terrified to the point I’d phone up and cancel if I had the number; it’s bar work so no where to hide.

Not to mention my derm moved my appointment forward, only time that has ever happened before was when I was ill years a go and had some strange test results. So not sure what to make of that. Above all I wished I had waited until after the roacc until I got a job, I feel fat, ugly and spotty. I need ice cream.

Hi,
I’m sorry that you’re feeling so bad at the moment. I’m sure that you’ll feel good at the end though!
Firstly I really don’t advise touching spots as that will probably make them worse and the breakout period will last longer.
For the eczema why not ask your GP for Oilatum shower gel. It’s for people with dry skin conditions. Also ask for either cortopin hydrocortisone cream or elocom pomada cream (do not apply these to the face). They really help.
Out of curiousity which moisturiser are you using? If it’s something like e45 that your using on your face then you will break out as it is really greasy. Use something which isn’t greasy and says NON-COMODOGENIC or NON-ACNEGENIC on the label as it will not clog pores or aggrevate acne.

Hope that Helps.

As I said, I’m NOT touching them and they just scab over for no reason. I don’t use moisturiser, I have no dry skin, it is almost as greasy as it was before I started the course. Hopefully my derm will put the dose up and that will get a result.
