Hi everyone,

Quick background: I am 19 years old and have been suffering moderate and persistent acne for the last 3 years.

I am almost at the end of my second week and to my pleasure it looks as if my existing acne may be improving. I have gotten a few new bumps around my jawline and forehead. however although they seem bad i think there cycle may be a bit shorter than normal. In my first week i did see quite a few whiteheads sprout up around my lips, nose and chin however these have minimised in frequency. To date my skin hasn’t been dry and i haven’t needed to use the aveene moisturiser that i have bought. My lips also seem normal and i really haven’t needed to use lip cream even though i have been.I do seem to be getting tired more easier however, but its relatively manageable.

Im on 2×20mg tablets a day and my dermatologist only wants a second appointment after my second blood test in 6 weeks. This seems quite long considering most others seem to be upping there dosage after the first month.

I also bought a protein nutrition supplement a week ago and have been taking this in conjunction with gym, however last night whilst i was drinking it, and had nothing better too do than read the tub, i found that it contained vitamin A acetate. I am wondering whether i should stop taking this supplement so i don’t jeopordise (sp?) my treatment or if the Vitamin A content would be so small given it was 1 of about 100 things listed that i could continue taking it. Ill probably call my dermatologist anyway but i was just wondering what others thought.

Hope everyone else is doing well
