So finally got to the end of first week had a bit of a breakout initially and am having a bit of one now but no where near as bad as I feared.  I had a few headaches but these have gone now.

Skin is drying out in places particularly around my nose, chin and t-zone area and is spreading down the body but am slapping on the moisturiser! Had a few headaches to begin with and eyes are a bit dry on and off - cant use eye drops as I’m diabetic so have to just live with it. By far the worst side effect I have is dry lips I am drinking lots of water so gawd knows how bad they would be if I wasnt, I have about 5 different lipbalms but none are actually giving them moisture most are just protecting whats there. I have a read a few posts how people are dealing with lip wise and I am considering the nipple cream!

Been continuing my bodyjam class on advice from this website, no real issues with muscles but I am very tired right now I’d really like to go back swimming does anyone know what effect chlorine in swimming pools would have?

Am quite pleased with progress of R right now, my major concern is my diabetes which I need to watch in case the tabs put my sugars up which I beleive they did so I made allowanes in my injections but have suffered more hypos (low blood sugars), although I think I have got the balance right now.  :)

I’m currently trying a dairy free diet (who knew it was sooo hard) as I’ve heard cows milk isnt very good for skin because of the hormones from the female cow that you end up with…but as its quite difficult to do its just an experiment for now.

I see everyone is doing well and sharing tips and some good progress has been made. Until next week.

p.s. - has anyone had any experience of colouring their hair, I’d really like a darker hue for the autumn and wondered what everyone’s experience was?

Hi Andrea,

I coloured my hair last week and it was fine, worked as normal. I was concerned it’d sting my scalp as it’s very dry and itchy but it was fine. No problems at all.

Hi Andrea,
I’ve read many times that chlorine actually helps acne, but i would moisturise after leaving the pool, because it drys out your skin to begin with, being on roaccutane and swimming alot would be disasterous without a decent intensive moisturiser.
