Hello everyone,
I have just been reading everyone’s entries. Feeling very sympathetic and empathetic.
I started having skin problems at 11 on my back, front and face and all through my teens I was on the contraceptive pill and antibiotics until I hit 20 and they started getting cyst like and that was when I first went on roaccutane.
Most of my 20’s were quite good, little break outs but nothing like before until I hit my 30’s and then slowly but surely my skin was getting worse. When I became pregnant my skin was really bad for the first 3 months and the rest of the pregnancy my skin was unbelieveably clear, the best it’s ever been!! I couldn’t believe my luck.
Now, I am 39, soon to be 40 and my skin is getting quite bad again and the only escape is having menopause or staying pregnant (not an option for both) so, I am back on the accutane.
Please everyone who reads this, don’t be discouraged, I am probably the exception to the rule. Most people get away with the one course.
I am having a big girly night out in 3 weeks and just hoping that my face isn’t a mess for it.
Good luck everyone. See you in a week.
Kath
