Posted in Roaccutane Diaries

I am a 17 year old girl and i started using roaccutane at the very start of this year. At the end of the May near abouts i got told i could come off the drug, was the best news i have ever heard!

All the horrible read spots have gone and i haven’t really had any more new ones break out, there are a few scars but their so tiny, they’re literally un noticeable.

I started on 40mg and then went onto 60mg. My lip dryness has calmed down considerably. They did give me some moisturiser though to help with dry skin.

it gave me dry arms as well :S did anyone else get this??

They told me that the roaccutane lives under the skin and still works for a couple of months and that i should continue taking the pill (dianette) because that helps with the skin also.

Anyway, i wish you all the best of luck and keep going with it, if you’ve just started taking roaccutane then my advice is if you have a down day (i had plenty!) try and not let it bother you, find something to do to keep you busy and take your mind off it. It will all be worth it in the end, believe me.

Keep smiling :)

Thanks for the comments!
Well i think i started to see a major change in my skin in the first month. The redness and inflamed spots had certainly gone down considerably.

But don’t worry if you haven’t seen a change in your skin yet, everyone’s skins totally different and unique. Keep going with it and give it a little time.

It’ll all be the worth it in the end :)
