Hi all - hope everyone is well.

No jokes this week this drug is seriously taken its toll on me, I mentioned last week that I had improved bits but still getting those red spots well guess what.. I am still getting them. I could swear right now this is very frustrating!!!

Also being a diabetic too I often wondered if the drug would affect my diabetes and hasnt until this week when I’ve had to put up all my doses on my injections by a 3rd which could be completely unrelated to the tane but I wont know for sure until I’ve finished of course my diabetes centre cant help as they dont know about R and dermatology dont know about diabetes - catch 22 and not helpful.

Lips are taking a beating with the cold weather but I seem to be keeping the worst of it at bay, although I still have my cold from about 3 weeks ago.

Off for my ‘last’ set of repeats on Monday although I’m sure it wont be given my sorry state of skin I will be put on them longer. Am hoping to get to see my consultant shortly after.

Other things just muscle aches and extreme tiredness. I have added a pic this week as have not done for ages - I do have makeup on but you can see all the red, dry scaly bits, if anything makeup just makes scars less red.

Hopefully my miracle is just around the corner.

I’ve been so tired this week too :( I go for my 3 month check up next Wed, and I just KNOW i’m going to be prescribed an extra month. But the state my skin is in, it can only be for the best! Xx

Hi Andrea, you’ll sdoon be seeing the end of red dry scaly bits! I have taken this drug 3 times. The first time I took it for a long time at a high dose and it cleared it completely for years. I then took it for a short time at a low dose and although it still improved it, it didn’t get deep-down and it recurred within a year so… I definitely encourage you to take your cumulative dose before you stop for the absolute max. result.
