Hi there everyone.
I’m Henry and I start my course of Roaccutane tomorrow after about two years of suffering.
I have been on Zineryt (however you spell it), Oxytetracycline, Lymecycline, Ariethamyosine (I cannot spell any of these), retinA gel you name it I’ve been prescribed it. I have also used countless face washes with Benzoyl Peroxide and some sort of acid which i got in America whilst I was there.
I eventually got fed up and now I am here the day before I get my pills getting myself ready. I am really excited to finally be on the road to some change in my acne.
Firstly, my status at the moment is…
SPOTS all over my jaw, neck and back. These spots come back during the day rather than at night. Very annoying.
SCARRING all over my jaw, chest and back, this isn’t full scar tissue, just pink marks and some dark purple marks on my back. These get much better with the sun though which suggests to me that they are very temporary.
GREASY 7 hours after my shower every day. My routine is wake up, have a shower, go to school, when i get home i feel rough! I normally have a bath before bed as well and a thorough facial wash. Over night my hair and body becomes greasy again but i am not spotty.
BLACKHEADS EVERYWHERE and i mean everywhere!
As I said, I’m excited for tomorrow, but very nervous because I have heard so many positive and negative things about Roaccutane.
I was just wondering what supplements, creams and lip balms everybody uses. I was going to buy some of the new vaseline body lotion as that seems very promising and also some Norwegian formula lip balm. I take cod liver oil tablets, vitamin B tablets and calcium/ Vitamin D tablets.
So yeah guys, wish me luck for tomorrow haha.
