Posted in Roaccutane Diaries

I can’t believe it’s the end, i’ll be taking my last ever (well hopefully) roaccutane capsule tonight and i am feeling slightly nervous. It don’t want it to end, i don’t want to go back to the way i was.

Anyway i have finally taken my before and after photographs, one with make up and one without. The transformation is absolutely shocking! As you can see!

I hope these photos keep all of you guys going on the treatment, hopefully they will make you realise how much roaccutane can change your appearance and most importantly your life.

I will still be posting blogs on here so all of you can read about what is happening to my skin whilst off the wonder drug. HOPEFULLY IT WILL STAY CLEAR!

I  hope you are all well and positive, keep smiling ! it really does work!

Wow Tess you look abs gorgeous!! It is an amazing difference and this truly is an amazing drug! Your beauty really shows now and we can see the real you!

I finish on Monday 1st September after 4 months and I have flawless skin also but I like you am so scared to come of Roaccutane. I might be prescribed an extra month to ensure max results I hope that’s still the case!

Well done hun x x x

Hey i came off the roaccutane a day before you. My skin’s looking almost as sexy as yours. But i’m really worried the spots are going to come back. Having experienced life with clear skin it’ll be even worse to have to go back to the misery of acne. Let me know if you can how your skin keeps up.

Hei i am so touched by your photos, it almost looks unreal. I have a problem, which is not as serious as your “before” picture , but because it is sudden, and i never had similar issue, it is litterally killing me from the inside. I would just like to ask you what dossage did u take, for your kilos, because doctors in my country are not reliable and dont kno the drug so good, and i think that 40 mg are lo for 57 kg, hat do u think?
Thank you in advance

September 14th, 2008 at 3:22 pm

#23 Tess says...

Hey Lina,
I was on 30mg at the beginning of my treatment then moved onto 40mg later on. I weigh 51 kgs or 8 stone if you want to put it like that.
So i wouldn’t worry. If you wernt as bad as me before the treatment, that dosage should be fine.
It’s suprising how little of the drug can help :)
Anyway i hope that has helped you. Good luck with your treatment, it’s really worth it!

This is my first post here.. Just wanted to let you know that a friend of mine who has been off the meds for more than 2 months now still has porcelain doll skin! So no need to worry!
Your pics are really great! I’m on week 5 and my spots are still popping up left right and center.
I am on 40mg, do you mind telling me when you started to see a difference? mine are mostly under the skin, although alot are still on the surface :(
Would really appreciate some answers and am very glad i have come across this website!

#28 Tess says...

hey loons :) thanks for telling me that, its good to know :)
erm well i think everything began to improve at about week 15, however i’m not 100% sure because it seems so long ago :P
Just have a read of a few of my diaries, if you have time, then you can find out the details :)
Although you are only on week 5 at the moment, the time will fly past so i wouldn’t worry :)
hope thats helped youu :)

Hey Tess.
Great skin, looks great!
I have a question, when you finish your course of roac, do you no if your skin becomes oily again after a while or does the small pores and roac prevent that.
Much appreciated :)

September 23rd, 2008 at 6:13 pm

#31 Tess says...

Hey Mark :)
Unfortunately yes your skin does become quite oily again but hardly anything in comparison to what you were like before. If you keep moisturising after you have finished your treatment, the oil production in your skin shouldnt be too bad. Plus, its not actually that horrible because it’s a relief to your lips and also no new spots form :)

Sorry for posting this here, i was struggling to find a relevent topic!

I am a bit worried that i am going bald! Well not completley and not really as bad as i make it sound, but i have just started to notice that where my parting is i can see the hair growing from my scalp! I have thick hair and thats not changed, just this little thing.

I am only worried as i am on such a low dose (20mg) and the only other side effect i have is dry lips, absoloutly nothing else. I was just wondering if this ‘baldness’ could be down to the roac, even though i am on a low dose? x

Hi
Wow, you look amazing.
I was just wondering if you are still on the pill now for you skin to be still flawless.
As i have been prescribed roaccutane and i have not been given the pill for it because the doctor didnt say that i need to.
But if you still are on it now then i am considering being on it whilst on my treatment for hormonal pimples.
Waiting your reply.

#40 Tess says...

Hey Sar,
well I have never actually been on the pill whilst on Roaccutane nor after, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
I had my 3 months after anniversary yesterday and i am still clear even with my teenage hormones all over the place :)
So i wouldn’t bother with the pill, it’s just another hassle in your life.
hope that is helpful advice :)
