superstardust: week three, alcohol, tiredness and strange dreamz

August 9th, 2009

skin is looking slightly better.. redness on my nose still, lips cracked.. (i look browner)

Jennifer- you posted a link here for people who pick their skin.. i would love to have a look at that site but now cant find it for the life of me. could you plz post it again if you are reading this?

ok.. cracked lips, alcohol (1-2 beers a night.. ok most nights) Dermatologist told me to avoid alcohol alltogether as it has a cumulative effect and can deform babies even after the treatment has finished.. hmmmm v annoyed and refuse to believe her as she has scare-tactics most of the time.

She told me to take the 40mg alltogether as opposed to 20mgs morning/ 20 mg evening.. is it only me but am i feeling more side effects now with my new pill ingesting tactics.. I still havent left the house today, i am not picking up the phone, i didnt go to the gym, i feel tirrred, i have no energy. and i am still trying to motivate myself to leave the house… argh/ next week I am increasing to 50mg if blood tests come up all normal. wish me luck.

Been listening to http://www.myspace.com/modestmouse (they are great! bit off topic but Whale Song, King Rat and DAshboard are my favourite songs)

Burt’s bee’s lipwax is definetly a great invention for us skin-improvers I might post a picture some day, next week when i am feeling less achy x

ah yes the achey, not wanting to leave the house scenario..I know it well!! what is your derm going on about?? that drinking alcohol consumed now can deform an unborn baby in the future…..how EXACTLY does that work then???? sounds like shes more concerned you are going to get drunk and therefore, get pregnant whilste on the roacc…ah, such trust.

Urm the alcohol thing! Ive been really good then went to a wedding yesterday and got completely carried away-woops! Have a hangover but nothing abnormal or different from normal – just feeling a bit guilty! I agree with Sparks dont think it could have an effect in the future. Plus my derm and the doc said it was OK to drink in moderation. Ive decided to stay away from alcohol for the rest of my treatment – 2 months – can i do it, mmmm (sounds like normal hangover talk hey!)

The achiness will start to go. For me its just the joints now and surprisingly enough Ive found that Juicey Tubes are great for dry lips-and drinking loads of water!
