Just a short update as we are into our 13th week.At the end of week 11 my son’s skin had a major outbreak - which we couldn’t believe. This lasted almost a week - but roaccutane being as it is - it did clear up. We are now into our 13th week and for the first time since being on roaccutane no new spots have developed - it has been over a week now. He still has blemishes which I hope will fade. I have noticed that when he does school sports his skin doesn’t look as good (maybe the sweat etc).

Anyway in a weeks time we have our dermatologist appointment, I know the derm will be be keen for my son to stop treatment at 16 weeks, but I feel that since he had a major outbreak not that long ago, his treatment should continue for at least 2-4 weeks longer.

Have others found that they stopped at 16 weeks (even with a breakout not that long ago) and still their skin stayed good?

Please let me know.
