stareymary: 5 months in.
November 20th, 2009Went to see my derm last week hoping to get my last months treatment as i have been on my max dose of 60mg a day and was told I would be on it for 6 months. Unfortunately the doc told me I would have to be on it for longer as I am still getting some spots. I am absolutely gutted. I was really looking forward to getting back to my normal self and stop taking these tablets. I havn’t had a drink since i started (my favourite hobby) as i know i won’t be able to have just one or two, and was really hoping to be able to have a few at christmas and new year. I thought when you got to your cimalative dose that was the end of your treatment. maybe I am just one of the unlucky ones. Oh well hopfully it will be worth it in the end x

I’m on my last week of tablets now – then I will have done 6 months like you. Everyone else seems to have got rid of blackheads and ALL spots. I’m still getting the occasional spot (new one this morning) and the blackheads on my nose have not gone at all. I’m seeing the derm on 10th Dec so I’ll let you know what happens. I’ve got a horrible feeling I’ll be on the wagon at Xmas too!! Having said that, I didn’t drink a thing last Xmas either as I got the Flu and ended up on painkillers and antibiotics…Ha.
