I’ve been on roaccutane for nearly 3months now and i am pleased with the results so far as i hardly get any big spots and if i do they go quickly.

now im just left with red marks from where the spots had been … there everywhere! im so upset i go on holiday in 2 weeks time with girls who have all got perfect skin and i feel so self-concious because when u look at me all i have is a dot to dot of red marks all over my face.

does anyone know if they will be less noticible once i have been in the sun for a few days? im so worried as the red marks appear even worse once ive been in the water… does anyone know any good water proof make-up that may help me pleaseee?

thanx x

Hiya Jessica,

There is a good waterproof foundation by Estee Lauder called “maximum cover”. It’s a tad on the pricey side but it does a good job of covering scars and stays put when your in the water.

Also, make sure you take a really good SPF for your face :-)

Have a good holiday,

Hey Jessica,

I am on my 2nd course of roac after 3 years of clear skin. When i finished I too had lots of red marks- it was horrible. But dont worry because they really do fade I promise. I would say about 12- 18 months after my course you couldn’t see ANY red marks at all! I know at the moment that seems a lifetime away but hang on in there and this time next year bet your skin looks totally different!

Enjoy your hol,
Kt xx

Hiya Jessica….i am sure once you’ve got a tan you will look fab…if in doubt try that miracle foundation mentioned before!!! Enjoy yourself….where are you going???
Did your dermatologist say it was ok to go in the sun while on your treatment? I want to go away but wasn’t sure how my skin would react to the sun??
