Roaccutane

What is Roaccutane/Accutane/Istotretinoin used for?

Roaccutane also known as Accutane and Istotretinoin is a retinoid (form of vitamin A) taken by mouth that acts to loosen excess skin cells and reduce sebum secretion.

Roaccutane is prescribed for severe types of acne, or acne that is at risk of causing permanent scarring.

Roaccutane is prescribed and must be supervised by a skin specialist (dermatologist).

Ok so I have now tried every single different lip balm my local chemist warehouse had and I have found that “Lucas’ Pawpaw Ointment” helps the most.

    Hi Fatima,

You need to go to your GP who will refer you to a skin specialist, a dermatologist at your local hospital. They may prescribe roaccutane to you. Alternatively you can go privately and if so look up the dermatologists in your area and call one up.

    Good luck.
