Q1. Get a good exfoliator to use once a week to remove flakey skin and get a moisturising facewash, i use Simple moisturising facewash which i have always found good.

Q2. I would reccoment aqueous cream as it is not perfumed or anyhting and is quite thick!, if your skin gets really dry Vasaline!

Hiya Denden,

Whilst on Roaccutane I have always found that very mild cleansers are best such as “Simple Moisturising Face wash” or “Johnsons Sensitive skin facial wash”. They cleanse your skin without making it feel tight and uncomfortable. If your skin gets exceptionally dry you may wish to use a cream cleanser such as “Simple purifying cleansing lotion” as it is less drying that washing with a face wash and water.

I wouldn’t recommend a bar soap - probably too harsh. I’d also steer clear of medicated face washes (anything containing salicylic acid) while you’re taking Roacc. Your skin may get very delicate - mine’s gone like tissue - so can’t use any exfoliators or anything with ‘microbeads’ as it feels like it’s ripping my skin to shreds.
Anything gentle like those mentionned above are good. I use Johnson’s moisturising shower gel. Sounds bizarre, but is actually very gentle, whilst leaving me skin feeling very clean.
