Well - I’M FINISHED!!!
Was such a relief to see the derm last Tuesday and for her to say ‘yep, you’re done!’…
I’ve not finished, like some, with perfect skin, because I hacked for weeks and because Roaccutane slows the healing process so much everything really struggled to go quickly. However, spot wise? None. Not one. Cracks in the side of my mouth have healed already, thank God, they were probably top of my list of evil side-effects (excusing the fact my eyesight is 10 times worse now!)
Overall, I’m very happy, very relieved and very glad it’s all over - 5 months I wouldn’t like to go through again. I just hope the effects are lasting and I don’t have to repeat in a year’s time.
I have one more appointment in 4 weeks, a final pregnancy test but after that, providing my skin is still spotless, it should be the last time I have to go there! Touch wood…
I have had to odd tiny pimple that’s been gone within 24 hours, those I can deal with (like the ones your annoying friend’s get and moan about) - they are nothing, and barely visible. I remember the days when I was waking up with 2 or 3 more, big, sore and under-the-skin spots, I can’t remember the last time I had one of those!
I’m so happy it’s over, although I got used to most of the side-effects, I did find myself at the end getting increasingly frustrated by just the whole process and was desperate to come off it!
I really hope everyone is ok and I am very grateful to everyone who has left comments and helped carry me through this - having you lot has made an easier said than done process much more bearable!
I’ll keep you posted in the future!!!
