Hello people! I am soooo sorry it’s been a while, unfortunately my net at home is playing up so I have to rely on ‘borrowing’ other peoples lol. So here I am, 3 weeks in with plenty to report. Here we go….Week 1
NOTHING HAPPENED!!! Not a sausage. Mind you 3 people commented that my skin looked clearer already, but all of them knew I was taking Roaccutane so that was probably all it was. I got really impatient waiting for something to happen but at the same time prayed I wouldn’t get the initial breakout at the weekend cos I was staying at my boyfriends. Well luckily I didn’t although my lips dried out and were very sore. The only thing that helped me was “Blistex Healing” (which I had trouble finding until I spotted it in the medicines aisle at ASDA). But anyway not much happening so far……….
Week 2
I was thrilled to bits to suddenly realise my normally stupidly oily hair was in fact not so oily at all. I now wasn’t needing to wash it every day without fail due to not waking up with enough grease on my head to keep a chip shop in business for months, which was a nice change. My skin was a bit drier too. unfortunately it began flaking off around my mouth (which was kindly pointed out to me by several people - one even told me I had ‘the lurgy’ tut). Then IT happened. I had one tiny little spot on my chin which I didn’t see the harm in popping as I had alwys done so without any problems with these tiny ones. But out of nowhere another one appeared right next to it. And then another. To make it worse this little cluster grew into big spots and then went all crusty. And it didn’t stop then. More and more appeared all right close together. And Then I got some big ones in other places too. I really hope that is the dreaded initial breakout cos it was disgusting and I would hate it to get worse than that!
Week 3
Skin felt really dry at the beggining of the week, which was nice in a way, made a change from being oily but now I face a new problem: what make-up am I supposed to use? I had only ever used foundation for oily skin! Yes I know I could switch to one for dry skin but wouldn’t that clog up the pores and make things worse? Any advice girls? I only wear make-up when I’m going out (not very often lol) but still. The other thing I would be interested in hearing from others about is the blackhead/blocked massive pores situation. I think mine have got worse and are almost sticking out (YUCK YUCK YUCK!) is this normal? What happens next? Does Roaccutane clear up blackheads? Does it make pores smaller? Blimey I ask a lot of questions lol!
Anyway I’m shutting up now but again apologies for not updating sooner and to the people that left comments thankyou for your support it means a hell of a lot to me x x x Oh yeah one other thing, guess who I saw last week? My mum! And guess what? She had another dig at me! She pointed at a Muslim woman in a veil and said “at least if you were one of them nobody would know you had acne” nice. Anyway laters people. Love and luck to all of you,
Nikki x
