Alright guys and gals,

I’ve posted a couple of times on here before but tend to read more often. however, i have just a couple of questions for all you lovely people as i’m sure you’re veterans compared to me (meant in the nicest possible way!). replys and advice would be much appreciated!

I started week 4 yesterday and within the last week or so i’ve noticed really dry patches on the back of my hands and upper arms. they’re not really itchy, just look unpleasant and feel horrible, and resemble excema. the other side affects i’ve had up to this point have been bearable and haven’t bothered me a great deal. but these, im not a fan of!

Can anyone recommend any products for me to treat it??

And i presume this is just a sign of the roacc doin it’s thing and will pass with time?? dread to think i’ll get rid of one thing and get another!

Cheers for reading!

Hi Andi

I suffer from the dry patches, I would just keep moisturising them, I started to use a Simple Derma cream but I have switched to A-Derma Exomega face and body emollient cream which is quite expensive but you can get from boots - try some samples first though that is probably best. I find that if I use it twice a day it keeps it moisturised and when I come to shower it off its still there doing its stuff. I’ve just been using on the patches and use cocoa butter for all other stuff.
Good luck. A. x

Hi Andi,

The best stuff I’ve found for the rash on my hands is Kamillosan. It’s a really cheap nappy rash cream. It costs a couple of quid and within a day the rash was almost gone. I would get into the habit of moisturising a few times a day, like after washing your hands.

i got the same rash and it also spread to my legs a little later on in the treatment. My derm said its a mild form of excema, i used aqueous cream which you can get from the chemist and its used to especially treat excema :) its like £1 something for a tube. good luck. :D
