Well, today was the day.

Finally got myself an appointment with a dermatologist, after 4 years of putting up with and accepting bad skin. (I’m now 20 and at university).

Went to the hospital, had a chat, showed them my skin (chest, back and face), had a blood test (three vials of blood), picked up my prescription.

Pretty quick and easy once you’ve got your appointment booked.
About 8 hours ago now I took my first two tablets (2 x 20mg - 40mg). Not noticed anything so far, I keep thinking my lips are drier than normal, but I think it’s too soon to blame on the tablets.
Just glad to have started this at last. I’m looking forward to the side effects and changes strangely, maybe as its a sign something is actually happening.

Going to stock up on some products when I next go shopping. Apparently blistex / vaseline for lips, and E45 for my skin.
I’ll see how it goes and report back next tuesday when my first week is over.

Kris.

Hmm that all sounds pretty familiar Beccy. And today my body seems to ache like I have done excessive exercise but I have done nothing different compared to normal. As for the lips, carmex is in use more and more now, even my colleagues have picked up that I seem to be plastering my lips every so often (it’s great trying to find a convincing excuse why I am suddenly carrying around eye drops, carmex and eumo cream!!)
