So, week one is over! Gone very quickly.

My skin showed signs of improvment half way through the week, and in the last day and a bit it’s started to get engulfed in white heads!

I’m guessing this is my ‘outbreak’ everyone seems to talk about? The white heads are mainly around my neck/chin/upper lip and a couple of red lumps on my cheeks. They seem to be appearing and disappearing fairly quickly.

I’ve noticed for the last few days my skin peels every time I dry it after a shower. I kept thinking it was fluff from my towel, but its definitely skin.

I wonder how much worse / better things will get before the end of week 2?

Products I’d recommend so far would be…

E45 cream - pretty long-lasting and effective for covering up dry skin in the day time.

Vaseline for lips and inside of nose! My lips and nose haven’t been too dry so far, but I’m going to keep using it every day.

Clean and Clear Oil Free dual action moisturiser. - Using this at night, re-applying it if I wake up in the night. I just find the E45 cream too oily at night and sometimes gives me a load of whiteheads in the morning!

Kris.

Yeah I think they’re slowly dieing away too, I think it’s just gnna get alot drier now.

I’m really not too fussed with the side affects so far though, once I’ve washed my face and made it ’safe’ for going out it doesnt look too bad, my skin does look slightly better than normal though.

If we can put up with a few years of bad skin then what difference is 16-20 weeks of dry skin / slight redness? (at least we can say its sunburn if it gets really red).
