December 31st, 2009hey i went to the hospital today too see the derm he was happy enough to give me roaccutane he has given me 8 weeks worth of 40 mg tablets , he went through all the side effects and everything with me and made me aware of them all. I told him how acne gets me really down and everything he told me not to worry as it will soon be sorted. He told me to come off differin whilst on this treatment as it will dry my skin even more and that we can take care of red marks after the acne is sorted , ill be hopefully doing a full 16 week diary so you can track my progress throughout ill be doing another diary post this time next week

atum, from what I can remember you’ve been on a pretty long journey already really haven’t you…I’m really pleased that you’ve finally got R. I think we started on this site at about the same time you know but I actually got my tablets in July and finished them at the begining of November. Its a shame its taken you longer to get your px because you seem to have been messed about a bit. Anyway there’s light at the end of the tunnel now (I can remember crying with relief when I got my first px!) and, for me anyway, its been a complete miracle. I haven’t had a spot for about 14 weeks now and I feel so much happier than I have in years.
I hope the same can be said for you in a few weeks time, good luck, and here’s to a happier New Year for all us R patients.
