I believe (touch wood) that the breakout is subsiding. I’m now ‘pimple-y’, as opposed to ‘covered in boils’. It’s an improvement :op

I have developed a sweaty top-lip. It’s not sweaty all the time, just when it’s a bit warm outside and I’m moving about. It’s weird because the rest of me doesn’t feel particularly hot and yet my top lip is sweating profusely. Strange.

My face is still quite matt, but my pores are big again. I think I have blackheads. I’m not sure because I never had them/noticed them before. They are mostly on my cheeks.

The skin on my face is not peeling yet. There was a period a few weeks ago where very small patches of skin became dry and flaked a little, but that’s it. I’m in two minds about this. On the one hand, it’s good that I don’t have to constantly moisturise or be worried about getting strange looks from people. On the other, I think that losing a couple of layers of skin would improve the look of my scars; kind of like a mild-chemical peel. Oh well, maybe I’m speaking too soon (touch wood…. again). Is there anyone else who is at week 10 or more and hasn’t experienced peeling skin?

I think I’m due another massage. I think I’ll go for a full body as my hips, thighs, knees and feet are achy too.

Hi Joyce,
I’m on week 12 and haven’t had much peeling at all just dryness around my nose and eyes, the rest of my face just seem its normal which a lovely change from being oily and shiny. my spots dont seem to peel away, they seem to just fade out. So i wouldn’t worry that your not peeling i think its a good thing. Now that ur big spots are changing to pimples its only going to get better! good luck x x

Hi Mandy,
I wish my boils are as obedient as yours. They don’t stick to one area - they like to roam free! I’ve not read about anyone else having a sweaty top lip so you might be lucky and escape that one. I have read about sweaty eyebrows though :os
Good luck to you too :o)

Hey Joyce,

Please don’t get too disheartened. I had a breakout that started around week 6 i think, and it didn’t clear up until the end of week 8. But after that I had two glorious weeks of spot free skin, weeks 9 and 10 [this week].
So hopefully there’s improvement right around the corner for you as well, just try not to think about it too much and before you know it it’ll be there :)

And just for the record, I haven’t had any skin peeling since the early days of my treatment, but then again my side effects have generally been very minimal.

Anyway, I really hope that in your next post I can read that you’re a ‘happy bunny’ lol, all the best Joyce :)
