Hi Im 22 nearly 23, I dont have the worst acne in the world but its enough to weaken my confidence and stop me from doing things I’d love to do like camping and swimming without worrying about what I look like. I’ve suffered since I was 16 yrs old, and they dont seem to be going away. I mainly have small niggly ones always on my face occasionally on my chest, and the occasional blind one on my cheeks I have heaps of blackheads on my chin, forehead, nose and cheeks which make my skin look really oily, so time to put a stop to them once and for all!
I was pretty nervous about Roaccutane I thought I was going to take one tablet and I was going to wake up looking dried out with red raw eyes heaps of breakouts and be moody…. But not the case at all.
So it is day 9 and Im on 40 mg per day. The first couple of days I did not notice one thing out of the ordinary, by day 3 and 4 my skin was starting to dry out and the existing pimples I had got really red in color. I have been using my every day chapstick since taking the first tablet and reccomend anyone reading this to do the same dont wait for your lips to get dry, apply something from day 1 (its day 9 and my lips are only a bit flaky) but everybody’s different I suppose. By the end of the first week I felt tired and my eyes were getting red and sore as I was aware this would happen and I obviously have been using eye drops. My skin feels really rough atm with dry skin and breakouts, I do not or never have slept with makeup on Im washing with a cleanser for dry skin and putting plenty of moisturiser on before bed and again in the morning, I am also trying to eat healthier to help get the bad toxins out of my body, apparantly fresh carrots, cantelope and green tea are good for this. Anyhow thats about all for this week. Will be back in a week.
