Jessicas diary week 6 Blackheads when will they leave me alone??

Hi so week 6 my skin is best it has been in a while the crowd of zits round my chin have almost gone, and there are no other spots anywhere on my face except for the blackheads pretty much all over my nose forehead and cheeks CAN ANYONE tell me when they will go away???????????????? I hate them the ones on my nose kind of seem to be drying up but on my cheeks from the sides of my nose along under my eyes (upper cheeks the chubby part when I smile) just wont go away and I know squeezing literally does nothing.

Im feeling ok still really tired a lot of the time, today I woke up with some stomach cramps dont know if its from roacc or its just me…. I always eat before I take them so Im not sure what it is but it doesnt seem to be going away in a hurry.

Other than that Im hanging in there and looking forward to the end result…..

Hi Jessica,
I know exactly what you mean about blackheads, my nose is covered in them!!!! I assume they will just go away on their own, at least I hope they will and quickly!!! I’m half way through week 4 and can see a big improvement in my skin so fingers crossed it will continue. I have had some big spots and quite a lot of small ones but they are all clearing up really well. I can’t get used to my skin being dry….it’s quite a novelty.

omg a word of advice and warning,,,honestly i got so sick of the blackheads on my nose i decided to use the nose pore strips and honestly i got 5 holes or more specifically open pores on my nose..i feelso depressed omg………….guys now dont do what i did……

I have a remedy - but its not cheap - a product called Gatineau Gommage, which sounds very strange but its lovely, its a very thick cream that you smooth on and gently rub off, it comes off in “bits” - yuk - with all the dead skin coming with it, and any blackheads would be well and truly zapped. Its very soothing too with a soft minty smell. Heaven! look on Ebay and QVC, its about £15 - 20. x

But if they dont go away at least the big red horrible ones have… thankgod

Hey JessicaL

I had the same blackhead experience, but I’m letting you know mine lasted for about 2 weeks or less then disappeared and haven’t come back. So just give them a chance. If the suggestions made by others don’t work, they go away on their own after awhile.

The roac works to permenantly close your pores or something (My derm said something along those lines) so it might just be what ever is left in your pores being squeezed out for good! I think they will go in a few weeks xxx

your so lucky that roaccutane is working so well for you!!
i just started my second week and so far nothing has happened !!
just wondering, how bad was your acne at before roaccutane? was it only mild, because it seems to work wonders for you,!xx

Hi yeah it was only mild, I just got bad break outs and my skin was always really oily I hated the fact that Im 23 and got more pimples than I did when I was 16, and all my friends have lovely clear skin so thats why I decided to do something ablut Im in week 12 now and very happy with the results at the moment Honestly I dont think you will start seeing good results til about week 11 or 12.
