harajukulover: Week 2

July 1st, 2009

I’ve been on roacc for a good 2 weeks now, and thought i’d write a post about it. tbh it’s not been much of a change – dry lips but not unbearable as i’m one of those people who applies lip balm every half hour anyway lol. i’ve got a smallish dry patch of skin on my neck which is sort of red, but apart from that my skin isn’t dry at all, although one good thing is that in the mornings when i wash my face it feels alot less greasy than it did before roacc. i think i’m getting less spots, and they definitely seem to be going quicker, so at the moment i’m happy. one thing i would say though is that after spots the area seems redder than before. has anyone else had this? my mood is fine and i’ve not had any aches yet, so atm i’m pretty happy. my skin is still getting me down of course, but i’m hoping it’ll get better soon (Y). just hoping i don’t get the initial breakout :/ xx

    Hi,

    I’m also a good 2 weeks into my treatment, and unlike you i’m finding the dry lips a real pain. I’m not used to applying lip balm every 30mins or so and because so i keep leaving my lip balm everywhere. Which means I have to keep buying lip balms to stop my lips from cracking!

    aww i know what it feels like to leave lip balm at home – i’ve had to buy some more on occassion! but it’ll get used soon enough i’m sure, so it dm. just carry it round in your jeans or w/e so you always have some on you (Y)
    still waiting/dreading the other effects of this treatment :/

    Yeah, I’ve now have a collection of lip balms all kept in different locations, plus the one i try to carry with me.

    I’m also dreading of whats to come, I’m quite early in my course and i’m only on 30mg (lowish dose according to my derm) so all this talk of a serious break out around week 5 has got me slightly worried.

    same – i’m on 30mg and am quite nervous about the break out especially as rcently i’ve been getting less spots so i don’t want to ruin it now!! ah well this time next year we’ll hopefully have clear skin :) xx
