Hi Guys!
The week three notch on the Roaccutane bed post has been reached! Not that it’s any sort of milestone or anything. ha
Not to much to report this week. Been on 35 mg. Lips are dry but Carmex sorts them out and they don’t really bother me at all. My skin is getting dryer in patches but nothing major so far. I’m trying to use as little moisturiser as possible. I’m only using around my mouth area, sides of my nose, elbows and kness. The rest of my skin isn’t dry so I don’t want to be applying it for the sake of it. If needs be I will do so whne I noticed any elements of dryness. I’ve decided that when i finished Roacc I will def not be using any moisturiser on my face at all. Simply cleanse with a gentle facial cleanser twice a day and that will be me!
Not got any other side effects to report at all really. A wee bit of joint pain I suppose but that might have been there whether on roac or not.
Skin wise I am still getting spots. I expected this and don’t predict this trend to stop for at least another month or so. If I’m still breaking out regularly at week 10 or so then I will probably be a little frustrated! ha. My skin is ok though. It feels so much nicer to touch. It’s so good not having to contend with an oil slick every 3-4 hours.
I have developed loads and loads of blackheads around my nose area and on my forehead. It’s quite disgusting but I can feel them day by day coming more to the surface. Hopefully I will be able to wave them all bye bye in the not to distant future.
So in conclusion, I’m happy with the way things are progressing. Yes, my skin is still breaking out. Yes, my skin tone appears a little pink and Yes, I have a blackhead infestation but these are all signs that something is happening and I’m prepared to be patient to get the results which I believe I will ultimately get.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Keep smiling people (i understand some of you might not be able too due to the cracked lipped scenario)
