extremely red, raw skin

Hi all,
Well after thinking my skin was improving I am right back to square 1. However, this time it isn’t a spot. At the top of my forehead I have quite a big, red RAW skin patch that literally appeared after I came out the shower this morning. The skin was obviously really dry and is now weepy, red and raw. It’s like a bad burn. I have been in tears over it this morning as I am so self conscious of it and I don’t know what to do. I am terrified of it becoming infected and I have no idea if I should apply any cream onto it or not. Any ideas?
On top of that I can feel a big spot brewing on my forehead too, rubbish
Well luckily my local Sainsburys has a pharmacy which is open on a Sunday, so I drove down there this morning to get advice about this wound on my head! The pharmacist said it looks like the top layer of skin has come off!! This seriously shows how fragile my skin is on Accutane, it came off in the shower! However, he said that applying savlon should help, so I bought a tube of that. I only hope the redness dies down by tomorrow, I am so self conscious.
Word of warning to others – take care of any part of skin that appears slightly redder than usual or drier, you don’t want this to happen to you!
I absolutely feel for you!! The skin came off of my forehead in the exact same way a few days ago. I now have four round circles of ‘burnt’ skin on my forehead….it looks like someone put my head in a vice!! I did it just by drying my face with a towel, and the skin just decided to peel off. It looks awful and I am also really self conscious of it. Savlon is definitely a miracle cream. It soothed it almost instantly and it helped with the weeping. I’ve now been left with what looks like crapey patches of wrinkly dry skin which is interesting…Hang in there, it will die down!
Lush does a really nice after shower/after bath bar which you rub all over your skin whilst the skin is still wet. It’s amazing for dry, sensitive skin and it saves having to smother yourself in tonnes of cream. It’s called ‘Mange Too’ (not sure why they spell it like that) and it smells lovely. It costs about £6.00 for a bar and it lasts quite a while.
