Hi guys,
The summer months are coming and I am considering coming out of my pit and showing my face .

So I was wondering if anyone had any concealer/foundation ideas so I feel good in the photos?

When I have used foundation in the past, it has reacted with my skin and it felt like my skin was burning so preferably one that won’t do this.

Thanks guys

Hi Jo!

I use a concealer by MAC, it’s called Studio Finish concealer, and it is AMAZING!! It covers up everything so well, it is £10 for a small pot of it but it is well worth it, plus it lasts for ages and I use loads every day!! It also has SPF35 which is good - especially when on this treatment!

Hope this helps!

Hi Jo,

I use a mineral foundation it’s by Susan Posnick it’s called Colorflo Foundation it’s a really fine powder that is applied with a brush and it looks like foundation when applied. I wasn’t sure about using at first as it’s a powder but it has really worked for me, it doesn’t feel like you have any make-up on and the coverage is brilliant.

The website is http://www.susanposnick.com it will give you a list of stockists the other thing I really like about it is you don’t have to touch your spots when applying which I always thought would make them worse….maybe that’s just me!!

Anyway hope you find something that works for you:)

‘Clinique - gentle light makeup’ is a really nice foundation. I found for a long time that foundation made my face itch, this was one of the select few that didn’t. It’s about £21, so not the cheapest, but great coverage yet light and gentle on your skin. Just an idea! :)

Hope you find something that works,

Hi Jo,

I am nearing the end of my treatment but I find my skin can be a litle red when I apply foundation too. I think the key is to apply it really gently using a foundation brush to blend the product rather than a makeup sponge which drags against the skin and can enhance the redness.

As a makeup artist myself I would recommend buying a pricier foundation as I am still yet to find a decent cheap product on the market. Think of it as in investment in yourself - something that can potentially make you feel happier about yourself! :)

I suggest you go to your local department store and obtain lots of samples before you splash the cash - Chanel do some lovely foundations and Biotherm also have nice natural products. For concealer I would recommend Benefit ‘Boi-ing’. Apply it with a small concealor brush. A little goes a long way so it’s well worth the £15 it costs.

Remember…when concealing spots go by the rule ‘less is more’. Over applying product can actually make your spot look more obvious!!!

Hope you find this useful chick….have fun experimenting!
