Not a lot to talk about this week didn’t have any spots! :o) Can’t remember the last time I went a whole week without any. Shaving and getting ready for work is so much easier and quicker, I feel more confident! :o)

The only side effects at the moment are my lips. They need a lot of lip balm throughout the day, but they are not cracking or sore, they just feel dry and tight a lot. My nose and chin seem to flake a bit as the day goes on, I have a look in the mirror every now and then and carefully pick loose bits of skin off with tweezers. However, one time I picked a bit off my nose that left me bleeding underneath so I’m being careful now, only picking at the bits that are clearly ready to come off.

I used to get home from work and go straight to the bathroom to wash because I was greasy after work. Now I can sit and relax first, I’m not getting greasy throughout the day.

In my opinion my acne is quite mild compared to the majority of cases I’ve read about on this website.

If I’m still getting good results at the end of August when I visit my dermatologist I may talk about being on a lower dose. This would also reduce the risk of serious side effects? I wouldn’t want “taking a lower dose” to be a step backwards.

In my opinion I wouldn’t worry too much about the strength of your dose. What dosage a patient takes can be determined by how severe your acne is, your weight, your height and if you are male or female. When I took Roaccutane I felt the opposite – I was worried I wasn’t taking a strong enough dose.

But definitely see what your Dermatologist has to say, he/she would reduce your dosage at your request.
