The week started pretty much as week two ended. I wasn’t noticing my skin drying up and till I had a few noticeable spots which I thought were part of the initial breakout. I wasn’t happy facing people on the train to work and even more so on the way back as my skin was getting greasy towards the end of the working day.

But as the week has progressed I have noticed positive changes, my nose is now flaking at the sides every day, and my chin is flaking too, especially when I open my mouth wide to eat or if I yawn! If you can call this positive that is :d.

I only had two spots on my chin at the end of the week, and one at the side of my forehead just under my hairline, which is taking a while to disappear.

I have also noticed that my skin is not greasing up like it was, I don’t have to dab my face with tissue throughout the day, which is good. For the first time ever I’ve noticed today (Monday), that when getting the train home I don’t look and feel as greasy as I use to.

My lips are dry a lot now so I have to apply lip balm every couple of hours. I had a shave last night and my chin area felt a lot smoother than usual which is good news. I’ve felt quite itchy on my scalp, arms, chest and back in the last few days. I don’t know if this is a side effect, perhaps it is as my skin may be affected in these areas too, although I’m not any drier than usual there.

I’m still using the anti shine, oil absorbing moisturizer. My skin seems to burn slightly when I apply it now. It doesn’t make me sore though, as I have been drying out slightly around my nose/chin I have tried a richer cream. I looked very shiny so I don’t want to use this unless my skin continues to dry out further and enough to not look shiny when I apply it.

Luckily, no other side effects yet!

All in all a more positive week and hopefully that will continue.

Hi Sam,

I’m on 40mg a day, I’m not sure how trustworthy the stuff bought on the net is, if you’re seeing your derm in 4 weeks can’t he put you on a legit course himself? It’s only 4 weeks away, it will fly by, drop me an email and let me know how you’re getting on..
