Officials in Scunthorpe and Lincolnshire are considering introducing bright pink lights to combat designated trouble spots. The lights are so strong they highlight skin/acne blemishes in young adults.
It has already been trialed in the UK and is under the scrutiny of the local Safer Neighbourhood Partnership. Manager Dave Hey said: “With the fluorescent pink light we are trying to embarrass young people out of the area.
So youngsters should be more ashamed of being seen with their acne/blemishes being exposed than in their appalling behaviour! Hasn’t Dave Hey got his priorities wrong?
There are already a disturbing number of teenagers that have suicidal thoughts because of their bad complexion, so why try to punish young people further? -just another terrible idea by the powers that be.
I have sent the following comment to the DailyMail.co.uk
I am a young adult but by no means a trouble maker. I find the contents in this article offensive and a little upsetting.
Officials in Scunthorpe and Lincolnshire should not be allowed to ridicule young adults because they suffer from a serious illness. There are already a disturbing number of teenagers that have suicidal thoughts because of their bad complexion, so why try to punish young people further?
