Hi all,

Thought i’d give a quick update onto life after roaccutance. I think i’ve been off the drug 2 months, maybe even more. It’s changed my life completely and it sounds silly to people with so called ‘perfect’ skin but when you have a face full of spots it really knocks your confidence.

Am 17 and had acne since early teens, it really got me down and i cried over it. I was roaccutane for about 4 months and it was amazing! Am left with a few scars but they fade quicker and even people are coming up to me and telling me how amazing and clear my skin is - even though they don’t know i was on roaccutane.

Am totally amazed by the results, i thought i’d have a ‘crater’ face forever! I urge you (if you’ve just started or coming to the end of your course) to persue with it. Yes you have down days but keep going, the end result will be worth the wait - trust me!

I haven’t had a break out for months and my lips have gone back to normal and the dry skin has completely gone - within 4 weeks of stopping the treatment.

I can remember my Derm. showing me the photographs i had before i started treatment and i welled up - i looked so awful - all over my face especially my chin, looked like i had a beard! but it was completely worth it. I wish i’d asked for a picture to upload here and show you guys a before and after shot, to encourage new people on the course to keep going with it. I’ll try fish some out.

Seriously, it does change your life. I can happily go out now with minimal or even no make up and still feel confident. Whereas before i either slapped the make up on or resulted to not going out at all.

I hope this helps you and if there’s any questions you’d like answering I’d be more than happy to help. Just leave me a comment or even send me and email! - that’d be more direct and quicker

I’m coming up to the end of my treatment now and to be honest I’m scared that I’ll go back to how I was before. But posts like this give me and probably others hope that the bad times are over. Congratulations on your new skin. Enjoy it x
