Havnt written for ages, this is due to feeling like crap. & everything – even writing a simple blog has seemed like to much hard work!! I am exhausted whether I take roacc in the day or evening, although I have stuck to taking it later in the day…my bones ache, my eyes look like I havnt slept for days, my lips need constant carmex, I have developed a bit of exzma, awful mood swing but this could be due to the implant (i’ve never suited things like that)…also on my last visit to the derm (3 weeks ago) my cholestral was high resulting in my 50 mil being reduced to 40!!! however I dont know if this is coincidence or not but my chest pains arnt as hurty (lol) as they were..
my skin!! – well the left side of my face has calmed down alot but the right seems to be a lot worse, still getting spots appearing, however they dont seem to be as vicious, as sore or as stubburn as they were before the roacc
overall I dont seem to be tolerating this med very well, but still intend to stick it out to the end!!! even though I do feel like crap (lol)
oh yes I keep getting bouts of paranoia about not making sense when I’m talking to people, how frustrating!!!

dont worry angela u make perfect sense to me
I just completed my 3rd month on accutane as well and i’m gonna have to make 2 more month and i should be clean after that.
I have the same side effects as you, whenever i take accutane i’m completed exhausted for the next couple hours, light chest pain , my eyes are so tired and sore i can barely look at the computer screen without closing them every 2 sec. I have eczema on both arms , some back and ankle pain, feel depressed and down for no reason.
i guess we all feel the same about not tolerating this crap but it is the only way to get rid of our problem
Just hang in there , the result is well worth it, take care

Hey Angela, it’s good to hear from you, as we are just a few weeks apart, I am sorry to hear about your side effects, my tiredness has worn off now, I am taking R in the evenings, although I am only on30mg. I haven’t had the mood swings as such, and to be honest I think is prob because I am not on the pill/coil/implant which i think does have a reaction, as the mood swings were awful last time!
Do you know how long you have left on R?
I have a derm apt on 18th and worried about bloods/cholestral, but matbe wont be as bad as for the low dose.
Hang in there! x

Hey all,
I’ve started taking it at night too because I’m so tired after I do. This has helped with my alertness during the day. I’m on 40mg and still have a hurty chest
I’ve started going to the gym though – I figure if my muscles are going to hurt anyway – I might as well work out! I’m on week 8 though so it might get worse.
Like Gemma, I’m not having mood swings but I’m not on any horomones – I’ve got a copper coil so my moods are just fine (except when I’m pre menstrual). I have had the odd moment though – but I think that’s pretty normal. What are you using? Maybe you could change that and your moods would improve?
Take care and stick with it. I’m sure it’ll be worth it.
