hi all - hope everyone is well.

So this last week has probably been my worst mood wise, been up and down crying, angry lots of swearing! haha lol Am thinking of booking in for a massage so I can have some good chillin out time.  Also been jerked about from my dermatology department which has resulted in me writing a 4 page complaint letter! Found out on Monday may dose is going up from 40 to 60mg a day (starts @ the wknd) it would’ve been nice had derm told me this - was annoyed at first but half expected a dose increase then got mucked around with my bloods and I dont do the bloods too well they always have to take it with the kids needles coz my veins start hiding oh yeah & it hurts! :(

Skin wise, I’ve got peeling bits, dry bits and clear bits after the madness of my 13 spots last week I’ve only had 5 new ones this week. I do have a really scaly forehead which I thought I’d slather on e45 - big mistake my face started stinging straight away and I went a lovely shade of beetroot! Thankfully it has gone now but has made me really start to think about what to use on my face, am sticking with the Simple stuff defo!!!!! I’ve now noticed some peeling on my elbows and knees but I am moisturising all over.  Lips still dry, nurse advised me best thing is to keep applying lipbalm and dont let lips dry out she also put a dampner on my miracle lip balm from the states.

Hurrah not the usual essay from me! Take care.

Hey Andrea!

I’m sorry you’ve had a crap week! I can relate mood-wise.. my family have termed it the “early male menopause” for me.. v early considering im only 23! Damn them! *waves fist*.

I use “Avene Recovery cream” from boots. Its reealy good stuff, and doesn’t sting at all. Its about 12 pounds for a small tube, but works really well.

Keep smiling (even if it is a roacc-induced evil grin :p) xx

The best moisturiser I have found is Aqueous Cream….it’s £2 for a massive tub from Tesco Pharmacy. I’m using it in the shower to wash with, including face, and then applying a thick layer and letting it soak in after the shower. I then just have a small Nivea tub in my bag for touch ups throughout the day and Vaseline for my lips. I am however only on day 19 and I’m sure that the dryness will get worse!
Mood wise, I’m so surprised! Before I started Roac, I was a miserable and stressed so-and-so, but now I’m chilled out and happy! Again, don’t know if i’ll be saying that in a couple of weeks!
Good luck!
