Hi Everyone,I was hoping to get some opinions on ACID Peels. Particularly if anyone has had one done on their back for severe acne.
My dermatologist has suggested a course of these once im finished the roaccutane to smooth out the skin. He said i may not get perfect results, but i wont get a negative result.
I had one on my face a few years back and at the time didn’t notice the benefit but 5 years on I’ve realised, actually I have no scaring.
Any comments positive or negative welcome!

Hi,
I had some acid peels along with microdermabrasion before i began my treatment of roacutanne. I do think it is beneficial but it didnt work for me since i still had acne so trying to get rid of the scars was a bit pointless, but i was desperate at the time because my doctor wouldnt refer me to a derm.
I had mine on my face and will prob have it done again about 6 months after my treatment. it did feel good after i had them since its basically revealing a new layer of skin! which cant be bad!!! (except when u go in the sun!) So i def think it could help the scarring, then again time does too!!
I paid privatly for mine, which isnt cheap! but i dont know if they do it on the NHS?!
