Hiya!!!

Well, i still have a couple of spots, which is irritating. Somedays my skin will be nice and clear then i’ll suddenly wake up with a lump on my forehead/cheek and feel very annoyed! Also, members of my family have taken to constantly remarking on how my skin looks each day, which makes me feel even more rubbish on days when i don’t look that great.

Since going up to 50mg my arms have been behaving very oddly. If i just walk past a wall and graze my arm against it lightly big chunks of my skin just seem to fall off from my arms! I’m having to be very careful to not brush up against things! Also, they are incredibly itchy and I must have scratched them in my sleep because i now look like I have been savaged by a pack of wild dogs.

I’m pleased my skin isn’t looking too bad as I’ve been applying for jobs and I really don’t think I could face going to job interviews if my skin was going through one of its awful stages.

Hope you are all doing okay :-)

xxxxxxx

Hey Abi,

hehe, made me laugh with the family thing. I have that when I go home. My parents bless ‘em!.. Every single day “you’re skin looks good”. It’s q frustrating as I’m almost bracing myself for the comment each day, especially like you say when I think my skin looks crap!

I’m glad you are happy with your skin at the moment :). GL with job hunting.

Yeah! I think it’s my own fault cos i bang on about my skin so much that it now seems to be the main topic of conversation. Even when I meet my mates down the pub the first thing they mention is how my skin is looking lol.

hey abi,

have u considered thinking accutane for good rather than having intermittent courses?

i mean maybe after ur current 50 mg dosage, u could juz stay on a low dosage, like 10 mg, for the rest of ur life to prevent a relapse? (unless u wish to conceive and want to stop the pills for a time being)

Hiya Alvin,

I would absolutely love to be able to do that but iv asked my dermatologist and he seems to have reservations about it. I would much rather take a tiny amount every day though than end up having to do a full blown course every year. I have a derm appointment 2moro so I’m going to enquire about it again.
