Hey all!!

My treatment is going pretty well. Had a few breakouts last week which was pretty irritating but they have pretty much healed up now. Also, i started getting a very painful forehead. It felt like I had burnt it (which is very possible given the weather) and when I put my moisturiser on it it reaaallly stung. The skin started to peel off uncontrollably (making it completely impossible to apply make up). I have “Eumo base concentrated rehydration cream” for very dry skin that i use on my body but have never tried on my face before as it’s very thick and stodgy, however, i decided to throw caution to the wind and cover my entire forehead in the stuff, and it worked! :-) I applied a layer at night and when I woke up and washed my face the peeling had dramatically reduced and it also stopped hurting. It also didn’t cause me to have any breakouts which I was worried it might do.

I had a derm appointment today, and i am being put up to 50mg, the highest dose iv ever been given (and the max I can take for my weight), so pretty chuffed about that! I kinda hope that with a higher dose i may have a better chance of staying clear for longer after my course ends.

I have to say, im getting very very fed up of the sun. Even with factor 50 on i still manage to burn. This time of year is rubbish when your a Roaccutane user lol.

hi abi
Ijust stumbled across your site while researching Rouacutane. My16 year old daughter is on her second course of Rouacutane she is also on Dianette .She has become very moody and occasionally physically agressive and verbally abusive.I am very concerned about her as she seems unable to controll these outbursts .I do not know what to do as the treatment is really working and she will be finishing this course in 6 weeks .She is to stay on the Dianette longterm-at least that is the plan at the moment.Have you heard of reactions like this? Also do you know if Bio -oil helps with the scarring?Your site has been very helpful and I have got lots of helpful tips which I am going to get her to try. Thanks a lot.
